The College of Nursing is buzzing as we welcome Dean Henderson into her
role as our new dean. In her short time with us, Dr. Henderson has proven to be
an inspiring leader, bringing a wealth of passion for nursing education and a
deep dedication to our college’s mission. With her guidance, I am excited about
the future of our college.
February was a busy month at the College of Nursing. Our annual Gator
Nation Giving Day was a success. The Alumni Council thanks all participants and
generous Gator Nurses who donated to the College of Nursing. The Dorothy
M. Smith Leadership Conference received overwhelmingly positive feedback.
Attendees left feeling enriched with new ideas and perspectives after engaging
in vibrant discussions.
We had a great time at the April 4th Gator Nurse Gathering! This event
offered a fantastic opportunity to reconnect, celebrate achievements and
officially welcome Dean Henderson into our community. I encourage you to
watch for future events for a chance to meet the dean!
It’s an honor for me to serve on the Alumni Council, where we collectively
strive to uplift our College of Nursing and its students. I look forward to
continuing our journey of innovation together. Thank you, fellow Alumni
