Diane McLaughlin Named 40 Gator Under 40
The University of Florida Alumni Association recognized Gator Nurse Diane McLaughlin (MSN 2013, DNP 2017) as one of the 40 Gators Under 40 this spring. McLaughlin joins a successful group of young alumni honored for having a significant impact and recognized achievements within their profession.
McLaughlin is an acute care nurse practitioner at UF Health Jacksonville and Mayo Clinic Florida. She specializes in the field of neurocritical care and is a world expert and international speaker on topics such as stroke; advanced practice provider, or APP, training; and point-of-care ultrasound. She serves as the current chair of the APP Resource Committee for the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and she also serves on strategic planning, congress program planning and ultrasound committees. She was recently accepted into the American College of Critical Care Medicine as a Fellow of Critical Care Medicine, is a member of the Neurocritical Care Society Guidelines and APP Leadership committees, serves as a social media ambassador for the Neurocritical Care Journal and was also inducted as a fellow of Neurocritical Care in 2022.
Larry Siegel Returns to Gator100
Through the Gator100, Gator Nurse Larry Siegel (BSN 2007, MSN 2008) is among an elite group of 100 of the fastest-growing Gator-owned or Gator-led businesses in the world. The Gator100 recognizes successful UF alumni business owners and entrepreneurs through an annual awards ceremony hosted by the UF Alumni Association.
Siegel is a two-time Gator100 awardee for his business Yunique Medical, which offers hormonal, cellular and functional medicine to improve and optimize the mind and body. Yunique Medical began in Ocala, Florida, and has expanded recently with clinics in Port Orange and Fruitland Park. Through Yunique Medical, he aims to put the human back into the medical experience, ensuring his clients are understood and treated at the cellular level.
