Catching up with UF College of Nursing alumni.
Holly Boyd (BSN 2004), the owner of Divinity Med Spa in Spring Hill, Florida, saw her business voted Hernando County’s Best Med Spa for the second year in a row.
Elizabeth Barger (BSN 2009) opened Happy Camper Pediatrics in early 2022 in Tavares, Florida. Barger combined her love for pediatrics with her love for summer camp in this kid-friendly, nurse practitioner-led practice. The practice recently won gold as the best pediatric office in a local “Best of the 352” contest.
Elizabeth LeFave (MSN 2006, DNP 2020) recently launched a virtual Asthma and Allergy Family Support group. With over 15 years of clinical experience, LeFave works directly with families to teach actionable steps to help them go from diagnosed and overwhelmed to equipped and empowered.
Megan Weigel (BSN 1998, MSN 2000, DNP 2009) published “Monday Mantras with Megan,” which is a lighthearted and approachable guide to a year of mindfulness intentions and actions.
Linda Mays (DNP 2015) was named program director for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program at St. Thomas University.
Christina Grainger (DNP 2015) published a children’s book, “The Teddy Bear with the Red Backpack.” A portion of the proceeds from the book sales are donated to Genesis House, a shelter for women and children in Melbourne, Florida. Grainger was also crowned Mrs. Melbourne 2020.
Rita Arrington (BSN 1976, MSN 1990) and her dog, Camille, were featured by Haven Hospice as Pet Pal volunteers after a special experience where Camille formed an unspoken bond with a hospice patient and her daughter.
