$100,000 Raised for “Jo Snider and Jodi Irving Debrief Room”
Gator Nurses showed appreciation for Professors Emeriti Jo Snider and Jodi Irving’s many decades of support.
In May, dozens of Gator Nursing alumni and friends showed their appreciation for Professors Emeriti Jo Snider and Jodi Irving’s many decades of leadership and support at the UF College of Nursing. During the two-week Snider-Irving Innovation and Learning Lab Challenge, $100,000 was raised to officially name the “Jo Snider and Jodi Irving Debrief Room” in the college’s new Thomas M. and Irene B. Kirbo Innovation and Learning Lab. The money raised through the challenge will support the lab and help prepare Gator Nursing students to meet the ever-changing needs of the health care environment.
Irving and Snider shared a special message for all who contributed and honored them:
“We were both so pleased with the response to the Snider-Irving Challenge. It was not a surprise that, when called upon, Gator alumni and friends were generous. The College of Nursing has truly developed a culture of philanthropy and when needs arise, such as those associated with the Kirbo Innovation and Learning Lab, we had reason to believe that there would be a positive answer to a call. That was certainly the case in this regard. Both of us hope that some of you can visit and experience the beautiful learning environment you have helped to create. Thank you.”
