Sandra B. Dunbar (MSN 1973) was elected as a member of the Fellow Selection Committee for the American Academy of Nursing.
Susan Brasher (PhD 2016) was selected as a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.
Stacia Hays (DNP 2014, BSN 1993) was the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network 2020 Nurse Practitioner of the Year awardee.
Darlene Dempsey (BSN 1990) received the 2020 Special Recognition Award from the Florida Nurses Association for her work in providing nurses throughout the state with essential education and updates around the COVID-19 pandemic.
Patricia A. Quigley (PhD 1992) was elected and installed as the 2020-2021 president of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses.
Durward Rackleff (BSN 2011) was promoted to assistant vice president, quality & patient safety at the Greater New York Hospital Association.
Micayla Johnson (BSN 2017) published an article for her DNP project and All Children’s Hospital, sharing why it is important to have children receive the flu vaccine each year and common myths surrounding the vaccine.
Kim Curry (BSN 1976) was recently published in The Online Journal of Issues in Nursing. The article “Social Upheaval and a Dean’s Vision for Professional Nursing: The Work of Dorothy M. Smith” highlights the work of the College of Nursing’s founding dean.
Linda Tieman (MSN 1973) was inducted into the Washington State Nurses Association Hall of Fame.
Mary Weber (PhD 1997) received the State Nightingale Award for Advocacy in Administration, Education, Research and/or Nontraditional Nursing Practice from the Colorado Nurses Foundation for her work in improving access to quality care for patients with mental health and substance abuse disorders.
