Naadiva F. Matin
Naadiva F. Matin, 26, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away May 7, 2020. Matin was a former student in the College of Nursing’s traditional BSN program. She would have graduated in spring 2021.
Shirley Davis-Martin
Shirley Davis-Martin (PhD 1981), 85, of Brevard, North Carolina, passed away July 10, 2020. She was a nurse, professor and dean who received the Duke Nursing Humanitarian Award in 2010 and, in 2015, the Duke Distinguished Alumnus Award.
Suellen T. Cirelli
Suellen T. Cirelli (MSN 1998), 68, of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away August 12, 2020. She was a certified APRN and ACRN in HIV/AIDS care. She was a primary care and HIV provider/educator at the Polk Department of Health Bartow and the HUG ME Program with the Orlando Regional Healthcare System.
Norine B. Labitzke
Norine B. Labitzke (MSN 1994), 78, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away June 23, 2020. She worked for Children’s Medical Services and had her own practice in Tallahassee, identifying and taking care of children with special needs. She also taught nursing at Florida State University and served in the Red Cross.
Cheryl K. Dupree-Mesker
Cheryl K. Dupree-Mesker (BSN 1979), 65, of Crystal River, Florida, passed away July 23, 2020. After retiring as a flight attendant in 2006, she focused on her nursing background, working at the Citrus County Public Health Department and Citrus Memorial Hospital.
Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Wrigley
Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Wrigley (MSN 1987), 70, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away August 26, 2020. She served as a midwife in Jacksonville for several decades, delivering thousands of babies and serving for many years on the board for the Childbirth Education Association of Jacksonville.
