Recent updates from College of Nursing students.
DNP student Tonya Powell and Clinical Assistant Professor Stacia Hays, APRN, DNP, CPNP, CCTC, were among the select group of nurse practitioners invited to the Florida House of Representatives’ opening session in Tallahassee. They were there to show support for HB 607, which calls for authorization of autonomous practice for nurse practitioners in Florida.
The College of Nursing had five international students who were recognized at the UF International Student Achievement Ceremony for International Education Week: Safiya Bakarman, Tamara Macieira, Khlood Bubshait, Yasmine Alabbasi and Keyna Baena Rodriquez.
In the fall, College of Nursing BSN graduates attained a 98% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination.
